A 3DTV is a television set that implements 3D techniques such as 3D display, 2D plus depth, multi-view capture, and stereoscopic capture. When such features are put together, the result is a very unique viewing device that projects a certain movie or TV show into a 3D field, like as if it is something realistic.
3DTV episodes first started to be popular in the 1990's. They tried doing 3D in order to attract the attention of viewers from all over the globe. Fortunately for them, this strategy worked because the number of their viewers increased by a huge difference.
With the use of 3D TV's multi-view displays, more than one stereo pair can be projected at the time. This is responsible for producing the 3D images out of the screen like as if they are part of real life. The head tracking features make it possible to alter how a scene's views depend on the angles. When multiple independent views of a particular scene are projected appropriately to a group of many viewers, something like this is referred to as automultiscopic. This is a result of the utilization of the 2D plus depth format.
3D TVs are also installed with a volumetric display, Pulfrich effect, and holography features. The Pulfrich effect was first implemented by Doctor Who in the movie Dimensions in Time in 1993. This was a feature film produced by Discovery Channel in 2000 for one of its most famous shows entitled Shark Week. The very same features were also applied to a famous show entitled 3rd Rock from the Sun in 1997.
It is through the stereoscope that 3D images can be seen. It was in 1844, particularly, that a Scottish inventor with the name of David Brewster made this specific device intended for 3D technology. In 1851, this device was developed further by Louis Jules Duboscq as he projected the image of Queen Victoria to the public that was present in the Great Exhibition. Still, it was in the Second World War period that 3D technology started to be used popularly all over the world.
However, it was in the 50's that household TVs started to be truly famous in the whole United States of America. This was also the same period that 3D movies started to be produced and released for public viewing, the first of which was Bwana Devil by the United Artists.

Home Theater
Home TheaterHome theater systems have become popular with families of all income levels. With increased purchasing power and prices being affordable, many families are able to afford high-end home theater systems that previously were only for the wealthy. This has given sudden rise in demand for professional home theater installers. To have the effect of an actual movie theater in your own home, where the audio-visual effect takes you completely into the experience, you'll need the services of professionals and experts in this field.
There are several factors that should be taken into consideration before installation, the first and foremost being the selection of the 'right' room. If you have a spare room you can easily convert it into a movie theater with professional help. You can get the one which suits your requirement and fits in your budget. Professional home theater installers will pay heed to your preferences and they will properly mount the TV set with speakers and will also give valuable advice in terms of seating position, accessories etc.

Sony KDL-40EX403

It's a part of the maker's new line of EX400-series TVs and it brings a host of features to the party, including a number of different ways to connect to other devices, including PCs and laptop computers.

Televisions (especially plasma and LCD) are often affected by the environments in which they're placed. Lighter or darker rooms can create conditions where it's hard to makes out certain aspects of the display. With Ambient Sensor, the KDL will automatically adjust picture brightness or darkness across a spectrum of environmental factors to deliver the best-looking picture available.

Sony KDL40EX403
This is a review of the Sony KDL40EX403 - a LCD TV that is one of Sony's line of Bravia televisions. The EX403 is one of a series of improved-over-last-year liquid crystal display televisions, all of which have been upgraded from their 2009 predecessors. And even though it's rated as a so-called entry-level LCD TV, Sony's made sure to pack it full of useful functions and features at a good price, by the way.
Sony has actually priced the TV to be very competitive, with many online retailers able to sell the unit at around 675 British pounds, with the value added tax included. The Sony KDL40EX403 offers full high definition in 1920 by 1080p, meaning that it's really and truly high definition and not just "high definition ready." It's also able to display in 720p and lower, all the way down to standard definition range.
Sony has also included its Freeview tuning filter, which has been upgraded to HD. With Freeview HD, a viewer will be able to access a wide range of UK-specific satellite channels in high definition on the Sony KDL40EX403, which is an improvement over 2009 models, which either didn't feature the tuning filter at all or featured it in only non-HD configurations.
The standard motion control engine included in almost all value-priced Sony Bravias is the Bravia Engine 3, which is a very capable processor. It helps to smooth out extreme motion and fast moving imagery such that there's little or no evidence of any artifacts or blurring, no matter how quickly an object passes by on the screen. This gives the television a very nice display under almost all circumstances.
With a screen size of 40 inches, this Sony KDL40EX403 can do double-duty, serving as either the primary television for a small-to-medium-sized household or a very nice second television for use in a bedroom or den or study and the like. It comes close in a glossy piano black casing that looks extremely modern and very competent, sitting on its extremely functional and sleek stand.
The Sony KDL40EX403 also features four separate HDMI input ports and several other ports and connections that allow for the hooking up of any number of different electronic components, such as a stereo, home theater or DVR/DVD player. And with a thickness of only 33.3 mm, nobody would ever accuse the Sony of looking portly or in need of a quick weight loss diet, it must be said.
When it comes to picture and sound combined, Sony's included its well-known and well-regarded 24P True Cinema technology as well as a very nice 3D surround sound system that Sony calls S-Force. Even without being hooked up to a nice home theater system, those watching the television in a darkened room won't be able to help but remark favorably upon the picture and sound combination, in truth.
